Conference Venue
The John Q. Hammons Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center is the conference hotel and will be the venue for the meeting.
All symposia, contributed sessions, meetings, poster sessions, and exhibitions for Evolution 2011 will be held in contiguous space in the Conference Center.
The Conference Center is the centerpiece of the University North Park economic/commercial development zone located 4 miles from the main OU Campus. This 300-acre area consists of a nearby series of mainstream shopping outlets, restaurants, and bars/grills. Conference buses/shuttles will be operating between the conference center and the OU dorms/nearby restaurants throughout the conference.
Hotel Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved for the conference – please indicate Evolution 2011 – to receive the conference rate of:
- $135/night (singe or double occupancy; for each additional person up to four
- an additional $10 per person per night will be charged)
Room rate also includes:
- full cooked-to-order breakfast
- a manager's reception each evening from 5:30-7:30 pm is offered to each guest, which features complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and light snacks
As part of the amenities, the two-room suites offer microwave oven, wet bar, refrigerator, coffee, and coffeemakers. The hotel also has a fitness center, indoor pool with sundeck, sauna, and whirlpool.
